VSOL V2802RH or Photon PTF2282 (SC/APC/Green) is working well so far with my Alliance Broadband all though there's no VSOL brand name written anywhere in the ONU itself or in the product box. I'm Using a 0.5 Cat8 cable to my router. I'm getting 1-2 ms on default gateway ping to my ISP as always. My previous ONU GX Earth 1000R (SC/APC) had RX power -18.72 dBm and TX 2.30 dBm and TP Link XZ000-G7 (SC/APC) had RX -18.30 dBm and TX 1.70 dBm. With VSOL V2802RH, I'm getting RX -18.74 dBm and TX 2.90 dBm, so better TX power (Better TOSA) and running way cooler (38c) than my previous ONUs. TP Link XZ000-G7 actually uses slightly modified 'Super PIN-TIA' optical receiver (Better ROSA) than any normal PX20+ and Class B+ standard PIN-TIA as this VSOL V2802RH has, that's probably the reason it has better RX sensitivity. I also noticed this VSOL ONU also takes slightly longer time to boot.
Return Update :- Unfortunately i had to return this item as i noticed some connections loss even continuously with my ISP OLT, Note, this may not happen with your ISP OLT. Customer care was very fast to reply and initiated return and refund in time. I had a really humble and great experiences with customer care which i presuming it was Paul, who is generous enough to give me full refund which he didn't need to do that and, i thank him for that. Anyways, if you have any hesitation about this website as if it is genuine or not because i had, i will 100% recommend them now. Thanks Paul Jacob and Techtellectual for the product and initiate everything after that on time.
